Kennesaw Mountain was well represented at the track sectionals held over the weekend at Roewell High School. The Mustangs could make a claim to the boys championship with five individuals, including 200 dash winner Devin Putmon, competing in seven events, to go with both of its 400 relay teams. The Lady Mustangs advanced three girls to state as well.

“We did a really good job,” Kennesaw Mountain coach Cindy Faulkner said. “We’re taking most of the boys to state, and all three of our girls stand a chance at placing at state in a couple of weeks, so I’m excited about what we were able to do (Saturday).”
